GREEN HILL LAKE RESERVE

Public BBQ

This scenic camping spot, overlooked for years by many travelers, offers stunning views and is conveniently located near the highway yet at a comfortable distance from the road. It features excellent amenities including clean toilets, showers, BBQs, and a playground, making it an ideal free camping location. Visitors are encouraged to make a donation towards its upkeep, a small price for the value it offers. The campground is well-equipped with facilities like firepits, running water, and ample bins. It's set against a picturesque backdrop of a serene lake and wind turbines, providing a tranquil environment for camping. Walking trails and spacious areas enhance the experience. However, it's popular and can get busy during peak times, and the men's restrooms have been noted to be a bit smelly.
